Painting Poinsettias – Watercolor Workshop

Cheerful red poinsettias are a beautiful herald to the upcoming holiday!  Their wide graceful leaves are the perfect way to practice brush strokes and moderate the magical balance of water and paint on our brushes.

We’ll sketch poinsettia leaves on 100% cotton paper and then mix pinks and reds in our palettes to lend depth to our painting.  Then we’ll use a wet-in-wet technique, dropping paint onto wet paper and tilting our paint boards to pool the paint and create movement and texture in the leaves.

Intended for adults. All materials are supplied, including wine to sip while we’re painting!
