Watercolor Workshop: Painting Beautiful Landscapes

Join us in the Inn Sunroom for a fun and interactive watercolor workshop with Kas Rohm!

In this class, we’ll start with a fundamental gradient technique to paint a vibrant blue sky that fades at the horizon to be overtaken by organic Earth tones.  We’ll practice lifting paint from the paper to create clouds and gain an understanding of layering watercolor to create depth in a landscape.  We’ll use a fun technique of tearing paper and using the edges to create texture in our landscape, and then add details with black waterproof ink.  We’ll also sprinkle table salt on our wet paint to fashion additional texture on our mountainsides.  Wine will be served!
